A. The temperature/level of humidification are set to local conditions, and adjustable by you.
So you can make sure you are not getting condensation in the tube or mask. |

| Q. Can you use mentholaire vaporizer fluid in the machine if you have a blocked nose? |
(Posted: 18th Nov, 2010) |
A. We recommend that you do NOT use any additives in the humidifier or machine air intake.
As the air is blown directly into your nasal passages you can cause harm to yourself, and to the machine and humidifier chamber. |

| Q. Does the S9 prevent dryness in the mouth and lipsthat feel as they have been locked together with glue. At the moment I use a S8 machine with humidifier? |
(Posted: 14th Dec, 2010) |
A. Mouth dryness is usually caused by either medication, sleeping with an open mouth, or mouth breathing, and the humidifier is the main weapon against CPAP related mouth dryness. Turn it up until it is one point below condensation level, and see if this stops the problem.
If using a nasal mask you should also consider switching to a full face mask for maximum effectiveness from the humidification.
If the dryness is caused by the medication you take, talk to your GP. |
