NOTE: The elbow piece is being replaced by and is compatable with 400HC202 Elbow (Non Diffuser) which uses a myriad of very small holes for the same noise deadening effect. Consider purchasing the 400HC202 Non-diffuser Elbow and you will not have to worry about the diffuser parts again. |

| Replace as needed, about every three to four months. Diffusers develop black spots on the bottom of the filter from your exhalations. Better not to look at this as you really don't want to know what you are breathing out of your lungs. |
