The SleepZone heated CPAP tube takes environmental factors of temperature and humidity out of the equation.
How? The secret of the SleepZone heated CPAP tubing is in the spiral integrated, enamel insulated heating element, which is powered by a low voltage transformer. The entire tube is then covered with a special lightweight rib-knit "stretch" material that enhances the heating and insulating effects. The benefits are dramatic.
1. Use the SleepZone heated CPAP tubing as a 'Dry' treatment to take the "chill" off the pressurized air.
2. Use the SleepZone heated CPAP tubing to add comfort and heat to "Cold" passover humidification.
3. Use the SleepZone heated CPAP tubing to STOP RAINOUT FAST when using heated humidification. NOW WITH REINFORCED CUFF ENDS FOR MAXIMUM DURABILITY
When room temperatures are low the warmed moisture laden air within air delivery tubing on a CPAP device fitted with heated humidification will condense back into water. This is called "DEWPOINT" or "RAINOUT", The result, is an irritating presence of water in the CPAP mask and tubing which must be drained from the tube at regular intervals throughout the night. Attempts to minimize "RAINOUT" by simply heating the room has proved to be ineffective and expensive. Decreasing the humidifier heat setting reduces the "RAINOUT" effect but also reduces the effect of humidification. External insulation of the air delivery tube has only a minimal effect on reducing "RAINOUT" and greatly increases the bulk and weight of the tubing.
