The AirSense 11 series have included the AutoSet and AutoSet for Her algorithm modes into one device, the AirSense 11 AutoSet. The AirSense 11 AutoSet also features the ResMed AutoSet response and CPAP mode.

What is the shelf life of AirSense 11 devices?
AirSense 11 devices do not have a use-by date. These devices may be stored without any impact on therapy efficacy. However, the device does have a five-year design life. For a guide to storage recommendations please refer to the Air11 user guide.

Which ResMed masks are compatible with AirSense 11?
AirSense 11 is designed to be compatible with all ResMed masks, except for AirMini specific CPAP Masks such as the AirFit CPAP mask series. Refer to your ResMed mask user guide to confirm the correct mask settings for their ResMed device.

Does the AirSense 11 include an SD card?
AirSense 11 devices in Australia and New Zealand do not include an SD card. If high resolution data is needed, then an SD card will need to be purchased and inserted to the device. High resolution data will only be recorded directed onto the SD card, and not onto the device.

Summary data will be recorded onto the device and sent to AirView if the customer has provided consent to their healthcare provider for their device to be added into AirView.

What is the noise level of AirSense 11 compared to AirSense 10?
Both the AirSense 11 and AirSense 10 device with SlimLine/Standard tubing and HumidAir tub (1/2 filled) is 35 dBA with uncertainty of 2 dBA. For AirSense 11 and AirSense 10 devices with SlimLine tubing and a side cover, it’s 33 dBA with uncertainty of 2 dBA.

Do customers need a smartphone and the myAir app to operate the AirSense 11 device?
No, an AirSense 11 device can be used without the myAir app. However to access Airsense 11 exclusive features such as Personal Therapy Assistant, are only available with the myAir app. Download the myAir App for Playstore Android or Appstore Apple today.

Personal Therapy Assistant is an interactive experience designed to help start therapy with confidence. It offers voice-guided video setup to help get more comfortable with using the AirSense 11 device.

Can customers run Personal Therapy Assistant on AirSense 11 without a smartphone?
No.

 

Does Personal Therapy Assistant work with non-ResMed masks? What type of content is available?
Personal Therapy Assistant works best for ResMed masks. It provides instructions and troubleshooting specific to the ResMed CPAP mask model. For non-ResMed masks, the instructions and troubleshooting will be generic.

What is Test Drive?
Test Drive is a CPAP therapy adaptation tool designed to help users get more comfortable with using their AirSense 11 device. By practicing CPAP therapy under different levels of pressure (4, 7 and 10 cm H2O) to check for mask leak and comfort.

What is Care Check-In?

Care Check-In is a survey tool to get feedback on CPAP therapy. Care Check-In asks for regular questions about the therapy and provides contextual support within the first month. If opted-in to sharing therapy data, these surveys will be shared with a healthcare provider visible through AirView.

Are Care Check-In questions required or optional for customers to answer?
All Care Check-In questions are optional.

 

How often does Care Check-In ask the customer questions?
At the beginning of therapy, the customer is asked baseline questions. A few additional questions are asked once per week during the first 28 days of therapy. After the initial 28 days, users will be asked questions every six months.

 

How does Over The Air Updates (OTA) work?
There are two steps involved in this process.

Step 1 – The update file is downloaded from the server. If the device is on and not on airplane mode the file will be downloaded. If this file download is not successful at first, the server will try again in one week’s time.

Step 2 – Once the file has been downloaded it will update the AirSense 11 device. This will happen when the device is not actively being used, i.e., the device screen is on the Home Screen. If the update was successful, the user will see a success message. If the upgrade was unsuccessful, the device will keep trying again every few seconds.

Note: When ResMed pushes out an OTA update, it can take between 7 days to a month for all the AirSense 11 devices to be updated with the latest software in the market.

Can a customer refuse or decline an Over The Air Update (OTA) update?
There is no function to refuse or decline an OTA update. OTA updates will apply to all AirSense 11 devices automatically if one is pushed out by ResMed.

How often will ResMed push out an Over The Air Update (OTA) update?
There is no set schedule as to when OTA updates will occur. An OTA update will be scheduled if a software update is required or when ResMed is ready to roll out new enhancements.
