ResMed AirSense™ 10 Card-to-Cloud (C2C) Device FAQs

1. What is an AirSense 10 “card-to-cloud”  device?

An AirSense 10 card-to-cloud device is one without cellular connectivity. They are otherwise identical in therapy and comfort features to our AirSense 10 devices with cellular connectivity. The only difference is that they have no wireless data transmission capability and no compatibility with myAir, ResMed’s online support program and app.

2. Why is ResMed now only selling AirSense 10 card-to-cloud devices?

There is currently a significant shortage in cellular chips for all electronic devices and waiting for their supplies to catch up would mean hundreds of thousands of Consumers worldwide would not be able to access CPAP therapy. We are temporarily switching to AirSense 10 card-to-cloud devices so that Consumers with sleep apnea do not miss out on treatment.

3. Is myAir compatible with AirSense 10 card-to-cloud only devices?

No, myAir is a platform that is not compatible with AirSense 10 card-to-cloud devices. If you attempt to enter your AirSense 10 card-to-cloud device details in myAir, you will be shown a message that says “The machine you entered is currently not supported in your region. Please register a different machine.”

4. How can a ResMed Sleep Coach*check my therapy data?

ResMed Sleep Coaches* can view your therapy data in several ways. For card-to-cloud device users, they can manually download it from the device’s SD card and upload it to ResMed’s therapy management system. Simply make an appointment to see a Sleep Coach* in-store or book a virtual appointment and we will guide you on how to best set this up.  [Book now]

5. How can I check my therapy data to see how I’m performing?

You will be able to see your nightly therapy data on the device’s home screen each morning. To view your sleep report, select ‘Sleep Report’ on the device’s Home screen.

You can also gain access to comprehensive therapy details within the Sleep Report menu by asking your ResMed Sleep Coach* to enable ‘Essentials Plus’ within the Device’s Clinical Menu.

6. How can I tell if my AirSense 10 device is a card-to-cloud-only device?

On the top right-hand corner of your screen, there will be no wireless symbol available. The Ref number on the back of your device will also show either 37021 or 37029.

7. Does ResMed have any other devices that can offer daily data transfers?

If you would like to enjoy similar benefits to myAir and the peace of mind of knowing that a ResMed Sleep Coach* has access to your data remotely, you should consider purchasing a ResMed AirMini™.

AirMini can be used as a primary CPAP device for the home and as a portable system for travel. The device comes with all three modes; AutoSet, AutoSet for Her and CPAP; the same algorithms used in ResMed’s AirSense 10 devices. It doesn’t have built-in cellular connectivity, but it does have Bluetooth connectivity, which allows for the data stored on the device and transferred to the AirMini app. It then uses your mobile data carrier or Wi-Fi (if connected) to send data to the cloud.

Please note that AirMini users do not have access to myAir but the AirMini app, which is very similar to what myAir reports. Data includes usage hours, mask seal, events per hour, mask on/off and the sleep score.

8. When will ResMed have AirSense 10 devices with cellular connectivity back?

We don’t know the duration as supply conditions continue shifting on almost a daily basis, but it is clear that these challenges will not be resolved in the short term. As such, we see this as an important decision to switch to AirSense 10 card-to-cloud devices so that Consumers with sleep apnea do not miss out on treatment.
