What is an auto CPAP machine?

APAP, also known as Auto-PAP, stands for Automatic Positive Airway Pressure and is a clinically proven treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Unlike standard CPAP machines which use a set pressure during sleep, auto CPAP machines automatically adjust to meet the patient’s breathing needs. APAP machines will switch between low pressure and high pressure settings as the user moves in an out of differing stages of sleep or shifts sleeping position.
