What is the difference between CPAP and BiPAP?
The main difference between BiPAP and CPAP is that unlike a standard device, a BiLevel machine has two pressure settings, allowing for the patient to get more air in and out of their lungs. BiPAP equipment is programmed to automatically adjust levels based on the patient’s breathing. In general, the price of a BiPAP machine tends to be greater than that of a fixed pressure CPAP device.
