I am growing a beard. So in order to maintain a relatively leak free environment, it was suggested pillows would be a good option. The pack arrived with three pillows sized small medium and large. I used the mask fit setting to see which fit the best, the medium size won! My first night was interesting as the tubing attaches to the top of the headgear, which feels odd at first, though you soon get used to it. The other noticeable thing was a slight odour on waking up. This soon passes. It takes a few nights to fully get the positioning right and once sorted, the pillows are a very comfortable addition to the CPAP repertoire.
I was using the P10 pillow mask. I have had 2 of them and love them. It was time to order a new mask and I noticed the new P30. I thought I would give it a try. It's great. A little bulky compared to the P10. It is very comfortable to wear and the tube at the top of my head is a better idea. Overall, I think the P10 is still a better pillow mask, but the P30 comes in a very close 2nd. I like it.
I am returning this as the head band slowly moves up during the night. This results in the nasal pillows leaking air as it gets looser. It is also one of the noisiest masks I have ever used, I could in time have gotten used to it though. The mask frame needs more than one attachment point at each side and/or a totally redesigned head strap.
From the minute I got this mask adjusted correctly to my head size I loved it. I love the fact the hose is above my head & out of the way. The actual pillow is soft & comfortable. It’s great to have more freedom.
This mask is a game changer. After chatting with a friend she said she had purchased this mask as I had been contemplating getting it. She told me I wouldn’t regret it and I haven’t. Very comfortable, I’m not waking up lots during the night from air leaks, and I can move about and sleep in different positions with ease.
I am happy to be comfortable using the mask
I've been a CPap user for just over 15 years and I can honestly say the P30I is the most comfortable mask I've used to date. I was a bit sceptical about having the air tube attach to the top of the mask. I thought it may have made too much noise at 12cm/w pressure ... but as it turns out, that was not the case or an issue. The fact that the air tube now runs behind me instead of dangling in front of me is a huge plus. The fit makes it extremely comfortable to wear. In the week I've had and used this mask, I've had a very comfortable and sound sleep every night. If you are a Pillows Mask user, this is an option you should consider.
